We didn't start with a market analysis. We started by counting inventory at 9 PM with a pen and a paper register — and asking why it had to be this hard.
In 2021, our co-founders were running a small retail group in Pokhara. Like most growing businesses in Nepal, they were stuck between two bad choices: a desktop tool that locked them to one PC and one accountant, or a foreign cloud product that didn't speak VAT, didn't print Nepali invoices properly, and charged in dollars.
So we built one cloud platform that handles billing, POS, inventory, purchase, and reporting — priced in NPR, supported from Kathmandu, and shaped by the businesses using it every day.
Today, VedaMS is used by retail shops, restaurants, distributors, manufacturers, and pharmacies across all seven provinces of Nepal. Some are single-shop operations; some run dozens of branches. The product flexes to both — because it was designed by people who've sat behind both kinds of counter.
